Sorted has designed brands, digital experiences and the systems behind them since 2006, starting in Pretoria and now working from Cape Town.

Willem, Zilla and Johan
Willem, Zilla and Johan founded Sorted Design International and own and run it together as equal partners. The studio started in Pretoria in 2006 and is now based in Cape Town.
Willem is the studio's designer and storywriter, Zilla its designer and illustrator, and Johan its designer for motion.
Sorted Design International
Sorted Design International is a design studio in Cape Town with a human-first approach to design. It began in Pretoria in 2006 and works for clients around the world, in English and Afrikaans.
The work falls into six areas. Brand story and positioning comes first, then identity and logo systems, digital experiences, and print and packaging. Motion graphics, films and content make up the fifth. The sixth, intelligent systems, covers automation, variable-data pipelines and RSVP platforms. Listening comes first, and the aim is for a client to feel understood and for ideas to feel clear.
The studio has worked across editorial, skincare, hospitality, luxury travel, conservation, fast-moving consumer goods, publishing, fitness, engineering, heavy industry and events.
It also builds software. Sorted+ is a creative accounting app made for running the studio itself, and it is now available to other businesses.
Sorted Design International is a boutique studio, and clients work with the owners themselves rather than an account team. Its work list runs from independent brands to large international companies, among them Knauf, Zutari and Chilanga Cement, and it takes on brand, digital, print and systems work for all of them from one team.
